Saturday was a fantastic rehearsal! We set a goal to learn the remainder of marching for the final production. Goal achieved. We set a goal to play the music as we marched the new material. Goal achieved. We wanted to add some choreography to what we have learned. Goal achieved. We wanted to learn the singing parts at the end of 2nd production. Goal achieved.
Yes, it was a long and strenuous day. What do we learn from this? We learn that we can work hard while achieving our goals and that no permanent damage is done by sticking with the task. We learn that our previously accepted limits are perhaps not our real limits...and that we can do more than we sometimes give ourselves credit for...a great life lesson. We learn that having goals matters...but working diligently until we complete them pays off.
Many thanks to the staff, parent volunteers and the students for a productive rehearsal day! It puts us in a good position as we look ahead to the remaining preparation for our first big contest.
