WIth the flurry of activity, it is important to keep up with calendars, emails, and social media messages. We have had a few instances where families have been caught up in the last minute scramble because they forgot to look ahead on the calendar, deleted an email before reading, or booked another activity on top of an existing band activity.
We are communicating regularly through multiple means, including print, verbal, and electronic. We can send, but YOU must receive!
Believe it or not, our marching season will be over in a month. What seemed back in July to be a long schedule is now down to a few weeks...soon to be a matter of days, then hours, then done. We hope that you are promoting and planning to attend our end of season community show...it promises to be VERY special and will have some fantastic moments that you won't want to miss.
We also hope that everyone is planning to attend the Fine Arts Showcase in December. This is a unique event combining advanced groups from band, chorus, and orchestra at the new Lassiter Performing Arts Hall. It is an amazing holiday season experience.
As hard as it is to believe, we are already speaking with the current eight graders and their families about joining high school band next year. In about 10 weeks, they will get registration materials and start making decisions about their future. We need to make the connections and get them on oard for the next level of their musical experiences. Help pass the word about the many great opportunities at the high school level and let's get those new members signed up!
